A work from the Cosmos series: the spherical form, undulating in nature, extends to the material limits of the painting and the frame, like waves propagating infinitely; I enjoy staging the interaction, the interdependence of all things, the relationship and the connections
invisible elements between each other, from the micro - cells, atoms, molecules... , to the macro - planets, stars, galaxies...
Hand-blown… silver metal sheets, mixed paints, felt and glossy and matte anti-UV automotive varnish.
Framed in a shadow box frame.

Jocelyn Flanders, alias Djoce, is a French visual artist, painter, sculptor, engraver; he lives and works in the Northeast of France.
A cabinetmaker by trade, he taught himself airbrush painting in the 1980s and began a career in custom vehicle painting as a professional painter in 2000. He honed his skills in airbrush trigger control, pinstriping, applying metal foil, and engraving on motorcycle tanks and other surfaces. Throughout his 40 years of experimentation, a little voice inside whispered to him to take the plunge; in 2021, he embarked on a new adventure: creating works of art, with an idea that seemed obvious to him: to transpose the know-how of customization into the world of art.
His favorite subject is stained glass.
And an ambitious challenge: to create light and translucency on an opaque surface.
