I like the mystery of this woman from behind. I always cultivate a part of mystery, of vagueness in my works to let your imagination immerse itself in the painting.
This canvas in soft colors, wants to be more tender, in consultation with his unconscious. These slippers nonchalantly thrown over his shoulder as a way of letting go to better come back to it later, perhaps the satisfaction of the work accomplished and the efforts that finally pay off,… finally everyone can write their story.
On this canvas, I chose to work in relief the slippers as well as part of the corset and the lacing in the back which are the elements that will make the identity of the young girl, who represents what she is and yet is that enough to define her as a person in her own right? I let her tell you her story...
