About this artwork
In crafting this metal sculpture, I sought to explore the raw, textural qualities of the medium, allowing the rugged contours to echo the resilience and complexities of the human spirit. The stance is deliberate, a poised balance between motion and stillness, reflecting life's constant flux. Placed outdoors, it would harmonize with nature, its robust presence a symbol of enduring strength, grounding any space with a profound, contemplative energy.

« I'm interested in contradictions … Putting contradictory pieces together: colors, shapes that don't fit. Basically, that's what I do: I like putting things together; ugly things, broken, things that don't fit… »
Johan P. Jonsson is an experienced Swedish sculptor who’s exhibited in France, Norway, Sweden, the US. His sculptures explore postures and poses of people, and interactions between them; displaying influences from outsider art and working in metal and mixed media.
