A memory of Switzerland, captured in the same blurred, fleeting way it lives in my memory. As the sight of freely grazing cattle becomes increasingly rare, I wanted to capture them not as static figures, but as a collective presence—vague, transient, and precious. It is a quiet meditation on what we lose from our sight. The “blurred” memory: because the cattle lack sharp details, they appear to be dissolving. It is not a photograph of a pasture;… it is the feeling of looking out of a car window in Switzerland and trying to hold onto that image before it disappears behind a hill—or with the passage of time.
Using acrylic paints, in an impressionistic style and semi-abstract forms, I have depicted the flowing movement and warm light of a sunset, which brings a calming energy to any room. It evokes the connection to nature that I feel deeply.
As an artist, I am always looking for dialogue, for the emotional connection that arises between me, my work, and you as the viewer.
