About this artwork
This mosque located in Florence near the neighbourhood of Piazza della Liberta offering a stunning view especially during the sunset. The reflection on the colourful dome on the top looks spectacular. I am so inspired with its intricate architecture and vibrant colours. Capturing the beauty of this serene space outdoors allows for an exploration light and shadow, providing a perfect setting for creativity. Let the ambiance of the mosque ignite… my artistic spirit as I immerse myself in the enchanting world of outdoor art.
Jomay Tam, born in Hong Kong and based in Florence Italy. She graduated from the prestigious Libera Accademia di Belle Arte Firenze. Her paintings have been widely exhibited nationwide in Italy and internationally, e.g. London, Brussels, Barcelona, Innsbruck, Cannes, Paris etc. She specialized in classical techniques imbued with contemporary flair. She mirrors the bold hues and free brushstrokes of Impressionism, like Monet and Renoir, absorbed with the interplay of color and shape. Her explorative approach yields an abstract outcome, often using unconventional media like alcohol ink. Her artworks are vibrant, mirroring her strong convictions around color's capacity to impact mood, and they emit feelings of freshness, joy, and clarity.
