About this artwork
In this watercolor painting, I captured the vibrant life and serene beauty of a quiet terrace view. The warm tones of the buildings contrast with the lush greenery and open sky, evoking a feeling of peaceful reflection and everyday charm. I painted this during the pandemic, so this terrace was very vital to me to get some fresh air during this difficult time. In this case, I grew a strong feeling with this view and environment. This piece brings… a gentle energy and a breath of fresh air, perfect to fill your space with calm warmth and subtle joy.
Jomay Tam, born in Hong Kong and based in Florence Italy. She graduated from the prestigious Libera Accademia di Belle Arte Firenze. Her paintings have been widely exhibited nationwide in Italy and internationally, e.g. London, Brussels, Barcelona, Innsbruck, Cannes, Paris etc. She specialized in classical techniques imbued with contemporary flair. She mirrors the bold hues and free brushstrokes of Impressionism, like Monet and Renoir, absorbed with the interplay of color and shape. Her explorative approach yields an abstract outcome, often using unconventional media like alcohol ink. Her artworks are vibrant, mirroring her strong convictions around color's capacity to impact mood, and they emit feelings of freshness, joy, and clarity.
