About this artwork
Sorry for the glare! Very wet painting! Ships late May 2026.
This captivating floral painting, "Wednesday Flowers," bursts with vibrant energy. Created with rich oil paints on canvas, the artist has masterfully applied the medium, resulting in a wonderfully textured surface. You'll notice a beautiful wet-on-wet technique that gives the piece a lively, almost breathing quality, capturing the essence of fresh blooms. The interplay of bold greens,… sunny yellows, serene blues, and delicate pinks creates a truly eye-catching composition.
The inspiration behind this piece lies in the fleeting beauty of nature, captured in a moment of intense color and light. It’s a contemporary take on impressionistic and post-impressionistic traditions, infused with expressive boldness. This medium-sized artwork is perfect for adding a splash of dynamic color to your home or office. Imagine it brightening a gallery wall, a cozy reading nook, or a entryway table.

« Either way, my message for the viewer is simple. Enjoy my work for its visual elements. Experience the excitement of the micro, macro, and then the subliminal. Rinse and repeat. »
Jon Parlangeli is a passionate American painter and sculptor who has widely exhibited his work throughout the U.S. Fascinated by the process of creation, he composes works that experiment with color and the physicality of paint. Parlangeli's creations stand out for their depth and tactility, appearing as explosions of bright color and unexpected shapes. Parlangeli additionally includes a representational balance of nature and humanity in his work, that merges with abstract elements to create a kind of historic bibliophile hidden in the paint.
