About this artwork
I set up this still life of flowers in my studio in January of 2023. I wanted to paint the landscape, but it was the middle of winter, so it wasn't possible to take my easel outdoors. I don't like to paint from photographs, so I decided to take the landscape indoors via the still life of flowers. I zoomed in a specific region of the bouquet for this reason, in order to create a sense of being immersed in the flowers. I named the painting after the…
