About this artwork
This is an original encaustic (beeswax) painting on a cradled birch panel. There are many flowing layers of blue in this translucent and fluid abstract waterscape including shimmering iridescent pearl. The surface has been buffed to a high gloss. Inspired by the Arthurian legend.
Signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging. This painting has clean birch sides and does not need to be framed which is customary for contemporary encaustic work.
