About this artwork
"Undertaker" is a conceptual work, made on a wooden board and framed with raw pine ribbon. This work incorporates authentic receipts and manuscripts of a burial man from the 1930s, arranged in the shape of a cross. On this scene, an enigmatic figure appears from a gestural movement in enamel. The work is varnished with latex.

Jorge Lopesino is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. Describing his artistic style as diverse, he feels that each of his compositions is an independent entity while complimenting each other at the same time. Lopesino explores the human figure, concepts relating to duality, as well as Castilla and the Iberian peninsula in all of their dimensions. His pieces emanate from the unconscious in a physical abstraction filled with strength, tension, and emotion.
