About this artwork
With this piece, I wanted to push the boundaries of my portraiture deeper into pure abstraction. Unlike my more defined figurative works, the human element here is intentionally obscured—almost entirely consumed by the surrounding energy.
The composition is anchored by a deep, abyssal black background, allowing the explosive strikes of cyan, crimson, and yellow acrylic to cut through with maximum intensity. I used heavily warped, white halftone… stencils to suggest a ghostly, fragmented face on the right side of the canvas. This figure appears caught in transition, either materializing out of the darkness or dissolving entirely into the neon chaos. Through aggressive brushwork and dripping spray paint, this painting captures the feeling of sensory overload, stripping away structured identity until only raw, electric emotion remains.
