About this artwork
In this canvas, I explore the concept of duality and the fragmented nature of modern identity. I intentionally split the central portrait into two conflicting visual languages. On one side, the face is built with raw, heavily distressed textures that feel organic, emotional, and weathered. On the other, it transitions abruptly into a rigid, precise halftone dot pattern—a nod to mechanical structure and digital engraving.
To amplify this tension… between the organic and the synthetic, I set the figure against an explosive background rooted in Spontaneous Realism. I used aggressive, layered applications of neon acrylics and spray paint, cutting through the chaotic color field with sharp geometric slashes and honeycomb stencil motifs. The result is a piece that lives exactly on the boundary between raw human texture and calculated structure, designed to bring a high-voltage, urban energy into any contemporary space.
