About this artwork
Here I worked with patches of colours radiating outwards in a formal composition. I used a clean, white background to contrast with the bright colours selected to react with each other. This energised the entire composition. The rich quality finish I desired was assured with three layers of oil pigments and time to dry between each layer.
This artwork was inspired by the beauty of colours in Nature. My goal was to make colours sing in dynamic harmony.…
