About this artwork
Unique original work of the artist.
On this work, the artist brings together all of these techniques which consists first of collages in the background, a multitude of different layers of acrylics applied to brushes, aerosols, stencils with one of his plaster sculptures that he realizes himself in his studio.
These are the same sculptures he sticks in the big cities that are Paris, London, Evissa, Barcelona, Lisbon for several years.
We… find on this canvas his style which is one of accumulation as if several people had affixed his tags and signatures among his own pseudonyms (which he has since the 1990s), and that we find in this work to many places as elements of composition.
Triple layers of gloss varnish.

« My current influences range from pop art, graphic design, fashion and my travels - from which I bring back posters taken in the streets and eventually integrate them into my work. »
JP Malot’s adolescence was marked by keen interest in Paris’s top graffiti artists. Finding art school too academic, he left to delve instead into set-making, fashion, street and pop art - foregoing high culture for the underground. Mixing techniques and materials including aerosol, collage, stencil, drawings and sculpture, his artistic signature is a stand-out.
