"Face in Green" is a small-format work depicting a fragment of the Apollo Belvedere, reinterpreted through digital processing that provides a personal vision without losing its classical essence. Since 2004, the artist has explored Greek and Roman art, fusing tradition and innovation. The use of a carefully crafted color palette, along with textures and rich colors, give the work a new dimension. The cutout of the face emphasizes the location of… the eye, directing the viewer's gaze toward a point of visual tension.
The oil on linen technique allows for an expressive interplay between brush and palette knife, generating textural contrasts that enrich the surface. The application of glazes intensifies the nuances, achieving a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Thus, the work transcends the original sculpture, proposing a dialogue between the past and the present.
This work is delivered with an American box-style frame with a rust-effect texture.
