About this artwork
Theories II immerses the viewer in a surreal world where elements converge that go back to the theories that man has proclaimed since time immemorial.
In the center of the composition, two figures of heads from classical sculptures emerge on a background divided into two zones. The first, impregnated with earthy tones, houses the outlined head of Dionysus, from his eye a linear projection extends, a metaphor for human vision, revealing the illusory… perspective. From this vision, brightly colored, curved rectangles slide over space, towards a floating book that symbolizes writing, the means by which man transmits his learning. However, the book appears half painted, suggesting impermanence of ideas and theories. In the left area, the head of a warrior emerges in a space of red tones, like a curtain that separates and delimits the different universes presented in the work. .
