About this artwork
"Pixelated Interior" a work that immerses us in a unique exploration between classical architecture and visual contemporaneity. This piece invites us to reflect on the interaction between the ancient and the modern, between the static and the dynamic. The painting presents temple architecture, specifically an imposing arch that evokes the grandeur of the Cuenca Cathedral. However, what captures our attention is not so much the historical fidelity…
of the monument, but the way in which it has been reinterpreted. The author chooses to present this structure in monochromatic tones, which creates a striking contrast with the motif found inside. At the heart of the composition, within the central arch, we find a visual surprise: a series of square mosaics arranged like pixels, saturated with vivid colors. These modern pixels contrast with the sobriety of the architecture, introducing a feeling of contemporaneity and dynamism in the work.
