About this artwork
The work Face No. 6 offers a unique and personalized interpretation of the figure of the Greek hero Achilles, known for his prominent role in the Trojan War and his representation in Homer's Iliad.
The work presents a Greek bust head, which the artist has transformed using digital processing techniques. The painter explored various possibilities to modify the color and textures of the original sculpture, seeking to take it to a more personal terrain.… Chromaticism plays a fundamental role in the work. This new personality that the sculpture acquires preserves its essence, allowing the viewer to recognize the portrait of the Greek hero from which it is based. The painter has distributed the space of the canvas into three vertical stripes, highlighting the central one as the most important, where the head of Achilles is located. The sides are presented as possible entrances to the painting, treated with different chromaticisms and textures that enhance its depth and visual complexity.
