About this artwork
This is from my latest still life series 2019. It's all about putting magnifying the bouquet of flowers and placing it in today's surroundings. Traditional subject yet contemporary influence. The black background adds depth and richness and makes the pink peonies pop. It has been varnished to give more vibrancy to the artwork.
It is stretched and ready to hang. The canvas is wrapped around the 4cm wooden bars..
