Every day, the dog waits for "the walk." Something to look forward to, getting outside with his owner. After work, the owner enjoys a moment of rest, while the dog is engaged with its surroundings and is ready to go. This is a typical moment for many and is a special time for both. I wanted to capture the anticipation of their daily trek around the neighborhood. This is a mixed-media (watercolor and gouache) painting on paper, sealed and mounted…
