About this artwork
Cosmic Flow II
My painting process begins with a deep breath in front of the canvas lying on the floor, then, with the help of a spatula, I scrape the silver acrylic paint onto the white surface as I exhale.
Next, the black lacquer is poured directly from the paint pot onto the canvas. Here, everything is cast in one piece, a life energy made visible.
I work very intuitively; the work emerges from an inner meditative state, from a movement - from… the flow.
The minimalist-expressive style expresses the reduction to the essentials of life: inhaling and exhaling.

JP Julia Pust lives and works in Hamburg.
Her abstract paintings are characterized by spontaneous energy and powerful, expressive gestures.
Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and the New York School, she creates impressively reflective, intuitive drip paintings that reflect the vibrancy of her painting style.
Her cast works captivate viewers, transform spaces, and create a presence of movement.
Within the creative process, the spiritual manifests itself on the canvas, an energy that is not only seen but also experienced.
JP prefers to work on large-format canvases that capture and reflect light, architecture, and space in terms of content.
This creates a perceptual experience that attracts the viewer and subtly emphasizes the presence of the space.
