Deep Sea I
In Deep Sea, I explore the act of diving – into the primal element of water, into silence, into one's own identity, and into the origin of being. A fish-like figure rises from the darkness like a fragment of consciousness moving through layers of memory and time. The whale appears as the primordial mother – a symbol of the creation of all life.
With this work, poured from the paint bucket, the viewer descends into layers of memory of… their own inner soul.
