About this artwork
In this work, I used acrylic and oil pastel to sense how the colors of the coast and the sea compete with each other. In particular, the typical black sand of Tenerife, paired with the abrupt breaks in the mountain folds, create abstract forms that make the competition between landscape and expanse tangible. It's an invitation to look and experience the feeling of freedom, expanse, and harshness in one's own home.
