About this artwork
With this acrylic painting I tried to capture the interplay of calm and movement in intense shades of blue.
This required several steps. First, I applied blue and white wet-on-wet to the canvas. The powerful brushstrokes reflect the profound joy this process evoked. A second coat of paint modified the existing texture. In the third coat, I created new impulses by scratching with the palette knife. Finally, I added a few small white and blue accents.…
