About this artwork
What looks like a simple geometric painting at first glance, is quite complex. A pattern that resembles Moroccan tile casts (painted) shadows onto a white MDF panel, so that shapes appear to be floating. There is a lot of texture from sanding the surface over and over. The metallic paint changes with the light (see photos).
