A tribute to one of the most inspirational artist...who created beauty out of pain. He painted Starry Night in the asylum several months after suffering a breakdown in which he severed a part of his own ear with a razor. I put Vincent Van Gogh’s silhouette in the painting watching me recreate his masterpiece. I made the piece much larger than the original just because of his profound influence on me.
