About this artwork
It shows a woman wearing a Bollenhut, a symbol of the Black Forest, but her skin is not white.
The colors explode, the background pulsates.
The word “HEIMAT” is stamped – as a question, not as an answer.
What defines belonging? And who can claim it for themselves?
With this work I wanted to open up the topic of identity.
Not quiet, but loud. Not classical, but multifaceted.
Silver… leaf, spatula technique, strong tones: HEIMAT 2.0 is not a nostalgic retrospective,
but a look ahead.
Original artwork, unique. Sold with certificate of authenticity.

« The more curious we are, the more creative we become »
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading.
Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
