About this artwork
This work marks a turning point in my artistic language: for the first time, I used gold leaf and structural means not only as an aesthetic element, but also as a gesture of concealment.
The golden layer lies over the face – not to hide it, but to protect it.
It rises like a second skin: shiny, relief-like, present.
A symbol of what we want to show – and at the same time have to hold back.
During the painting process the question arose:
Who… am I if I don't perform, don't protect, don't hide?
The series CRUCIFIED OR JUST BLOCKED deals with identity, visibility and the power of female self-assertion.
Each work is a statement. Quiet but clear. An invitation to take a closer look – and perhaps discover yourself within.

My work explores the tension between identity, body, concealment, and transformation.
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading.
Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
