About this artwork
With SPOTLIGHT shows artist shows again a striking woman portrait. The lights (spotlights) are placed in fluorescent acrylic paints over the portrait and shine in blue light. The portrait itself is painted with acrylic paints in anthracite and shell white on a yellow primed canvas.
With this picture, the painter wants to show that it is not always pleasant to be in the limelight and that a person, represented in the form of a woman, can often be… vulnerable and helpless there. However, the cheerful, bright colors that the artist has chosen mean that the picture as a whole, in contrast to the portrait alone, exudes a lightness and joie de vivre. The painting is covered with a high quality varnish to protect it from UV light and moisture. Sale with certificate of authenticity.

My work explores the tension between identity, body, concealment, and transformation.
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading.
Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
