Karin Fröhlich is an experienced painter who studied under Prof. Kuno Gonschior and Prof. Bernd Koberling at the Berlin University of the Arts in the 1980s, graduating as a master student. Several semesters of study in Japan have had a lasting influence on and inspired her artistic career. Both Japanese painting techniques and classical Japanese literature shape and inspire her conceptual work. She has integrated various Japanese art forms into her works. Influenced by Japanese ink painting, Nihong-ga, and other techniques, she also uses colored pencil on tracing paper, watercolor, and spatial installations to convey complex aesthetic concepts. Her art delves deeply into emotions with subtle color spectra that depict seasons, moods, and feelings within a personal biography.
