About this artwork
A moving sky is always fascinating, but it's a sensation when it's reflected in four layers within the flowing clouds. At that point, there's no longer any recognition of the cloud structures, only wonder at the delicate, different colors and layers.
Only the riverbanks reflect the water in the usual way. Small, hidden farmsteads rest quietly and unperturbed, framed by bushes and poplars.
The horizon in the upper third of the image draws the… viewer into the distance. With the extraordinary movement of this depiction, we let go of our thoughts, immerse ourselves, and allow ourselves to be carried away – magical possibilities...
