About this artwork
The main features of this work are the setting of angles, details and the combination of art and architecture. The angle was set to overlook the city night view from top to bottom.
Since the set part is not the normal front and aligning all the objects to the set angle, quite a lot of manual work was done. This work focus on especially a point, line, plane, large and small shape, light reflection, contrast, movement and etc, so everything was manufactured… in a state of calculation as if designing an architecture,
It took a lot of time. Whenever I was conceiving
a work, it was a challenge for something new that I was particularly focused. There were a lot of times when
I hadn't painted a few days with a white canvas in front of me. Ironically, I felt that the way I was under this stress made me more proud.
Creating something…and being able to express it…I think I'm blessed by God.

Karis Kim is a South Korean artist whose works have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in France and Slovenia. A poet and writer, Kim illustrated his book on philosophy and psychology, with this experience also making him an artist. The central theme in his varied compositions relates to the meaning of life and the preciousness of nature. His Western and Oriental styles are created through acrylics, ink, watercolors on canvas or traditional handmade paper.
