About this artwork
It is a conceptual painting. I wanted to achieve an opposing effect by using large black-and-white puzzle pieces on a neutral, pastel background. It became an intriguing work. I first prepared the canvas for painting. The canvas is uneven and full of lumps, pits, and sharp spears. There are lacy parts, smooth parts, and thickened parts.
