About this artwork
I met this horse in the UK - a bit of a novelty as I mostly favour travelling abroad to find equine beauty. However this horse is quite unusual. He has a gene called the pearl gene which is what makes his mane so beautiful - an 'ombre effect'
In addition to this he is trained by education rather than by traditional methods. He comes to a whistle, like a dog and will stand and stay when so instructed. His trainer believes nobody should ever hit a… horse.
This is the framed version. The frame is black wood with a slight grain. It is also available unframed on request
Kate Lloyd is a photographer trained under acclaimed artists, most notably Jonathan Chritchley of Ocean Capture. She employs abstract and verismo styles, using multiple exposures to transform images of horses, water, and Venetian scenes into vibrant compositions, often presented as acrylics or luxury silk scarves. Her work radiates a profound appreciation for the untamed spirit of horses and the luminous mystery of water, evoking both tranquility and wonder.
