About this artwork
I don't want to look away, I want to be with them, in their dreamy silence. I am not alone – and neither are they. When their golden light gently mingles with my thoughts, I feel a sense of peace, as if they were carrying me into a cradle of tranquility.
The artwork is based on a photographic reflection of water, printed with metallic pigments onto metal and further finished by hand. The surface reflects light depending on the viewing angle, and… the image changes with every movement. A solid aluminum frame, 7.5 cm deep, makes it appear to float in front of the wall.
