About this artwork
A sigh that surrenders to silence – not real, between light and memory, between reflection and dream.
Water, in its form as a constantly changing canvas of light, movement, and reflection, is the basis of the series "Where Light Dwells in Water." The canvas is metal—a reflective surface whose reflections are reminiscent of water and from which the inspiration for the images originates. Photographic images of water surfaces are artistically processed,… printed, and transferred to the metal in multiple layers using dissolved pigments. They are then further developed with paints, inks, and various painting techniques—until complete.
The images transform in the light, especially in the sun, and carry the vibrant beauty of the water into the room – like a flowing symphony of light, color and movement.

My artistic development is closely linked to my many years of work as a composer. Musical thinking shapes my painting as well as my compositions and forms the basis of my visual language.
My abstract and figurative-abstract works, mostly large-format, arise from a compositional approach to color. I work with various media, exploring layers, harmonies, and tensions, and perceive the visual like sound. Colors, lines, and forms unfold into multi-layered compositions in which movement, rhythm, and space play a central role.
I develop original music for selected works. Image and sound are conceived as an integral artistic unity. This is how soundscapes are created. SOUND OF COLOR
The combination of painting, musical thinking and composition gives them a special independence and makes them relevant positions for contemporary collections.
