About this artwork
In Acute, I have erected narrow and wide planes in red, black, gray, and dark violet. They taper to a point at the top and spread out towards the bottom; a narrow yellow stripe adds a bright accent. The forms abut, shift, and maintain a fragile equilibrium. I am interested in the acute angle as a state: the point at which something is just standing upright and simultaneously already tilting.
The work was created digitally on the iPad and appears… as a giclée print on Hahnemühle William Turner, a structured fine art paper that enhances depth and color intensity.
Limited edition of 3 copies plus 1 artist's proof (AP, not for sale). Each print is signed and numbered.

Central themes in her work are seriality, repetition, and the relationship between objects within a group. Through arrangement, proportions, and the play with empty spaces, a rhythmic web emerges – between reduction and superimposition, order and chaos.
In her digital works, Sehl utilizes a specially created symbol archive, which she uses like painting materials. With the help of a special program, she paints in translucent or impasto layers, both intuitively and structurally.
This creates visual worlds that appear abstract from a distance and reveal thematic structures up close – snapshots of a multi-voiced, finely composed world.
