About this artwork
Heavy cuboids, leaning against each other, supported, almost toppling over – and yet caught in a precarious equilibrium. In “Prop”, a few massive volumes dominate the image: not a fragmented stacking, but a concentrated tension between the forms, which hold and support each other.
As in "Bent," inks, inks, and watercolors flow beyond the contours of the objects, following their own path. The process was direct and quick—intuitive, uncomplicated,… without detours. After the initial application of color, a light refinement followed, but the energy of the moment remains palpable.
Ink, felt-tip pen, marker and watercolor on paper, 60 × 58 cm. The work is signed and dated on the back.

This creates visual worlds that appear abstract from a distance and reveal thematic structures up close – snapshots of a multi-voiced, finely composed world.
