About this artwork
On a family trip, the artist spent an afternoon into evening drinking and eating in Wellfleet on the Cape, ending with ice cream as the sun began to set. These ladies had found a perfect perch to sit and savor their ice cream by the pier. The artist stripped away the many other people and boats and cars, etc to see what she felt was the embodiment of summer at its best.
