About this artwork
The artist has had a lifelong love affair with mountains. She studied in Boulder, Colorado and takes every opportunity to visit mountainous areas. This painting is a fantasy based on a trip the artist was planning. She wanted to explore her dream location using the simplified language of Folk Art to solidify shapes and heighten color forms.

Kathy Halper is an American artist whose paintings have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions in the United States.
