Katja Nagel is a German-Greek artist who lives and works in Munich and on the island of Hydra. Her work combines symbolic worlds of color with poetic mythology. Her painting evolves in series that explore themes such as nature, origin, myth, and identity. She maintains a strong connection to Greece — culturally, emotionally, and geographically. Over the past three years, Katja Nagel has rapidly established herself in the art market, right from the very beginning. In 2023, she held a pop-up gallery in Munich for one evening. In 2024, the Historical Archive Museum of Hydra showed her AEGEO series in a four-week solo exhibition, followed in 2025 by a threeweek solo presentation of her GAIA series in a renowned Athens gallery. Both exhibitions received extensive coverage from the press and the public. She has sold more than 40 works so far.
