About this artwork
Dear younger self,
I see you.
I am here for you now.
Ich liebe dich.
With these words, I embrace myself and try to take responsibility for my inner child and all my parts.
As lovingly as I can.
I am here for myself now.
In this work, I used acrylics, collage, charcoal, and tape to create a connection between structure and freedom. The horizontal lines symbolize the flow of thoughts and emotions, while the layers of color bring depth and… dynamism. It is an expression of clarity and movement that lends a calm yet powerful energy to any space.
Katrin Neudeck, born in Thuringia, is a passionate painter who, after a career as a police commissioner in Berlin, devoted herself to art in Leipzig. She creates vibrant works with unique textures and contrasts using acrylic paints and palette knives on canvas, paper, and wood—a dynamic technique that captivates with its expressive power. Her artworks are emotional depictions of polarities, powerfully expressing feelings and sociopolitical themes.
