About this artwork
Way back in the early 2000's, while I was teaching at the art college, I applied to my first art gallery with the body of work that I had completed up until then. I was accepted right away and thrilled to now be in the art world. More than enough happy in my life to inspire a painting of the occasion. A couple of openings and a couple of art sales, and you start to feel you belong. To have your art on display is so exciting. It's a sad thing indeed…
