About this artwork
In "Flamboyance 3," the spectacle of life unfolds for me: the mating dance of the flamingos – synchronized, graceful, and full of inner tension. Their pink bodies vibrate in the water, as if emotions themselves were taking shape. Each wingbeat acts like a silent promise, carried by a rhythm that reveals itself only in the moment.
At the same time, I'm interested in the transition between figure and color. Up close, the flamingos dissolve into layers… of pink impasto that intertwine with the blue of the water, only coalescing into a harmonious group from a distance. I paint less the animal itself, but rather the energy it leaves behind – the vibrant presence poised between movement and stillness.
Against a backdrop of expressive layers of blue and gold, a work emerges for me about instinct, attraction, and the delicate magic of togetherness. A picture that only reveals its full story through personal observation.
