About this artwork
Khatis wanted to use different mauves, purples, violets to create this painting, green with gold pigments.
This painting, of lyrical abstraction, was imagined thinking of the shrub that the painter particularly appreciates. LILAC with its delicate fragrance. Even if we can imagine that the printing of this canvas leads us to think of impressionism.
This work was painted in full length on a canvas 90 cm high, like a branch and 30 centimeters wide,… which allows it to be placed on a narrower wall. The whole painting is painted in acrylic and each color is taken up with pigment inks. The graphics are made with silver ink from the Sennelier brand, with a brush and not with a felt-tip pen. The painting is varnished with a varnish that protects against UV rays. Harmony of colors retains nature lovers.
« Painting represents a vital need for me, which is an absolute joy! »
KHATIS, a member of the Société des Artistes Français, exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris as part of Art Capital 2026. An award-winning artist based in France, her paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationwide. She also sells regularly internationally. Through her art, she strives to transcend forms and their representation in order to reveal deeper truths. KHATIS's atmospheric and vibrant compositions translate movement into color, inviting the viewer to imagine and, above all, to dream. The past year has seen a return to contemporary figurative art, with a preference for botanical subjects. Khatis enjoys working on backgrounds with spray paint and painting the subjects with acrylics. All the graphic elements she incorporates into her canvases are created with brushes and pens. Most of her paintings are finished with glazes of highly pigmented acrylic inks.
