About this artwork
From Varieties of Shapes & Colors to Areas, Textures & Sensations 01
The title shows my work's evolution from visual diversity to material experience. "Areas" refers to various surface areas created by different color reactions according to hanji thickness, "Textures" to natural material qualities from hand-tearing, and "Sensations" to different sensory experiences from accidental changes during work.
By accepting these unexpected elements not as… failures but as part of the artwork, I explored the true value of diversity that respects each element's uniqueness.
