About this artwork
I painted this scene with the idea of colour spreading across the land the same way clouds drift across the sky. Nothing is too controlled here, the brushstrokes stay loose so the pinks and greens can mix and overlap the way wildflowers actually do. The sky has its own softness, almost like it’s glowing behind the brighter patches below. The hill in the back gives the whole landscape a quiet anchor while everything in front stays playful and shifting.…
For me, it’s a moment that feels light and open, like a walk taken without a plan.
