The rock in the center of the image is an adaptation of the woodblock print "Gokenzan" (1860) by Utagawa Hiroshige II. Behind the rock is a dilapidated, arena-like building, already completely integrated into the surrounding landscape, revealing a second version of the rock in a collapsed section.
