About this artwork
In this artwork, I dedicate myself to the beautiful landscape of Tuscany. The mesmerizing light in this region bathes the landscape in a warm, luminous glow—this is evident in this work. Here, I combine vibrant acrylic paints, acrylic ink, and charcoal with the raw texture of plaster to create a dynamic, abstracted depiction of the Tuscan landscapes. The colorful stripes of vegetation and the atmospheric play of skies evoke feelings of longing for… this place and harmony. This painting brings a touch of elegance and contemplative joy to any room, an echo of the rolling hills of Italy.
After training as a graphic designer, Kristin Gezorreck regularly attended courses at the Berlin University of the Arts and continued to develop her artistic skills. The artist is particularly fascinated by the interplay and expressiveness of colors. Organic structures are also a recurring theme in her work. Her fascination with paper leads Kristin Gezorreck to frequently turn to this wonderful material: whether it is very fine, wafer-thin paper, which she folds and applies to the canvas, printed paper that she incorporates into the picture, or cardboard, which she uses to create a three-dimensional effect. In her abstract and expressive works, different materials come together, each with its own distinctive structure and thus evoking its own style. Through these "encounters," the artist creates tension and a varied dynamic in her work – the result is her unmistakable collage-like style.
