About this artwork
Stone doesn't move. But over time, it drifts.
I built Lithic Drift the way geology builds layer upon layer, slow and heavy. Silver, platinum, and graphite tones press into each other like sediment under pressure. A dark vein runs through the centre of the diptych, splitting it the way time splits rock. You don't see it happen, but one day the crack is there.
Two panels, acrylic and lacquer on canvas. No resin — the surface is matte, dry, almost chalky.… It absorbs light instead of reflecting it. The feeling is mineral, ancient, quiet
Each panel works alone. Together they become a geological event — something that took a thousand years and happened in silence
Exhibited at Art Capital, Grand Palais, Paris 2026.abstract diptych, stone texture painting, mineral abstract, grey abstract art, large vertical painting, contemporary diptych, textured abstract, acrylic on canvas, earth tones abstract, monochromatic painting, luxury wall art, geological art, neutral abstract, Grand Palais 2026
